I can support children and young people aged 4 – 19 years who would benefit from support in the following areas:
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Developmental Language Disorder
- Fluency and Stammering/Stuttering
- Global Developmental Delay
- Learning Disabilities
- Social Communication Difficulties
Sessions can take place in your child’s home, school, college or other suitable environment. I use a range of therapeutic techniques including table top work, play based activities and practical activities to help your child engage and get the most out of their experience.
I am based in Maidstone and am happy to travel to surrounding areas. (Please see note on travel below).
Initial Consultation: £150
The first consultation will take up to 90 minutes and typically includes information gathering, observation of the child or young person, and direct assessment. This may include informal/play based activities and/or formal picture based assessments.
The fees include travel and a written summary report.
Therapy Session: £60
A typical therapy session will take up to 60 minutes. This usually includes 30-45 minutes of direct therapy (depending on the child’s needs and ability to attend to activities) and 15 minutes discussion and handover of homework activities. Homework usually involves parents repeating the activities as demonstrated during the therapy session. Homework is designed to help your child consolidate what they have learned between sessions.
- This fee includes preparation, travel and resources.
- I do not charge for phone or email correspondence.
Meetings/Observations/Report Writing: £60 per hour.
There is a charge of £2 per mile for travel over 20 miles for a return journey (10 miles each way) from my base in Maidstone.
